Under 16's Review:
Unfortunately our Under 16's team were defeated in the Grand Final on Saturday. In what was torrential conditions in the first half, our boys controlled the game and played amazingly to get the University side worried.
Unforetunately as weather conditions improved for the second half of the game, along with some key umpiring decisions and injuries that went against the boys, they struggled to match Uni from there on and Uni took the win. Despite the results of the game, our boys should be incredibly proud of the way they played!
Final Score:
South Toowoomba Bombers: 6.2 (38) defeated by University Cougars: 10.9 (69)
Senior Men Review:
At a rain soaked Heritage Oval on Saturday University jumped early in the first quarter to take them to a 20 point lead at quarter time. As the boys struggled with the weather conditions throughout the match, by half time Uni were in full command of the game. Despite efforts from captain Dan Lyon and backline pressure, the boys just couldn't get back up. The margin stuck at around 30 points throughout the game.
Despite the end result, we are all exceptionally proud of the men and the amazing season they have had.
Final Score:
South Toowoomba Bombers: 6.11 (47) defeated by University Cougars: 11.10 (76)
