Hawks Sign All-Star Adekponya
Perry Lakes Hawks are pleased to announce that Matthew Adekponya will join their Men’s team for the 2017 SBL season. Matt played the 2016 SBL season in Geraldton with the Buccaneers and averaged 26 points and 9 rebounds per game and was named in the SBL All Star 5 as the Shooting Guard.
Matt is currently playing in the Danish Basketball League for FOG Naestved in Denmark and he will join the Hawks at the conclusion of his current contract and season in Naestved.
Head Coach Matt Parson said of Adekponya:
"I'm extremely excited that Matt has joined the Hawks for 2017, a great asset to our program, a fantastic player who was a top 5 talent last season. With his move to the hawks he complements our existing roster".
The Hawks look forward to welcoming Matt to our Club and watching him play in the Hawks colours rather than playing against the Hawks, in 2017.
