Tigers Sign MVP Ray & Returning Jay

The Willetton Tigers Men's SBL program is pleased to announce the signing of Ray Turner and welcome back Jay Bowie for the 2017 Season.

Ray comes to the Tigers after a year removed from his dominant 2015 MVP season.

Averaging 31.2 points and 16.1 rebounds a game was good enough to secure 137 MVP votes in the 2015 season as well as several huge games like his 58 points and 26 rebounds against the Tigers for his former club the Perth Redbacks.

Willetton is also very excited to welcome back Jay Bowie who was instrumental in last year's top 4 side bringing Willetton back to the semi finals for the first time since 2010.

With one of the best all round games in the league Jay averaged 24.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and close to 2 steals per game.

About the signing head coach Stephen Black commented "Ray was someone that my father identified as an extraordinary talent, we are extremely lucky for the stars to have aligned to get Ray here.

Having Jay a part of our team again this year was priority number 1. His talent, attitude and work ethic is second to none."
