Four Players Found Guilty at Tribunal

It was a busy night at the Tribunal with four players found guilty on separate charges.

Kalamunda Eastern Suns star Carley Mijovic and Mandurah Magic import Adijat Adams were both found guilty by the tribunal following a physical altercation between the two players in the final quarter of Friday's match-up.

Mijovic was suspended for two weeks (2 games) which will put her out for the remainder of the regular season as Kalamunda are pushing for a playoff spot.

Adams was suspended for two weeks (3 games) which also puts her out for the remainder of the regular season for the Mandurah Magic who need to win one more game to guarantee themselves a playoff spot.

Mandurah's Tom Remmerswaal received a one week suspension which was suspended for 12 months, meaning he will not miss any games after being found guilty of using obscene/abusive language and acting in an unsportsmanlike manner.

After a lengthy hearing, Magic guard Aron Lopez was found guilty on three seperate charges of attempting to strike a player/official, acting in an unsportsmanlike manner and disputing decisions which has seen him receive a 9 month suspension. The tribunal heard evidence from a number of witnesses in regards to an altercation outside of the stadium following the game. Lopez is now suspended from all BWA affiliated basketball activities until April 20, 2017.
